The Dust rewards program will be running until October 16, so we are still in the early days of the program.
We are excited by being able to give usage rewards to those coming into ArDrive and trying out the system for the first time. As well, we are really excited to be able to give ArDrive tokens (ↁ) in these early days to all of those who have been with us from the start.
We are anticipating that as more people come into the system that the tokens will not be as easy to come by, so enjoy the rewards while they are here!
Why do some lower uploads get a higher amount of ↁ tokens?
The amount of tokens received by an individual is not a one-to-one relationship based on the amount uploaded to the number of tokens received.
The formula to determine who gets tokens is based on the top uploaders of the day, and the amount of data they upload.
In other words, the number of tokens distributed among the top uploaders is lopsided: they receive proportionally more for their uploads. But if others are not far behind, they will get a larger proportion of tokens than if they were at the very bottom.
Kick Up Some Dust
Anyone can take part in Dust! All you have to do is upload any of your files - documents, photos, or videos - to ArDrive.
Here are the full details of Dust rewards, but you can get started by uploading at least 50 MB of data on a given day.

Where do I get the ArWeave tokens (AR)?
ArDrive will be releasing a currency onramp in the coming months. Until then the only way to upload your files is to use ArWeave tokens.
If you want to get more AR tokens for your digital wallet, you'll need to visit a digital currency exchange (a mostly painless process) to buy additional Arweave tokens.

Once you have purchased AR tokens from one of these exchanges you can make a simple transfer to your AR wallet using your wallet address (a string of about 40 letters and numbers).

If you have been wondering when you should start uploading your files to ArDrive - the time is now. Look through all of your old files and get the ones that you want to store permanently onto ArDrive.
